Champions League Betting – Inter, Barca, Lyon, Bayern head to next round

Take a break from your Masters betting odds for a minute and check out the news in the Champions League, where the final four teams have been decided with Spain’s Barcelona taking on Inter Milan from Italy, while French giants Lyon and German powers Bayern Munich will clash. This will be the first time in five years that the English Premiership will not have a team in the final game.

Barca

The defending champions put their power on display in a 4-1 romp of Arsenal at home, and Lionel Messi notched all four markers to earn plaudits as the best player in Europe, if not the world. The Catalans went through on a 6-3 aggregate score.

Inter Milan

Wesley Sneijder’s goal gave Inter a 1-0 win at CSKA Moscow, and they progressed on a 2-0 aggregate score. Inter weren’t fancy against CSKA, but they’re still in the hunt to win their first European crown since 1965.

Lyon

Lyon’s 1-0 loss at Bordeaux was thrilling, but their 3-1 win at home in the first leg was enough to put them through the final round of four teams, as they came away with a 4-3 score on aggregate for their first trip to the semifinals.

Bayern Munich

Arjen Robben’s 74th-minute goal was enough to put Munich through on the away-goals rule as they lost 3-2 at Manchester United, but their 2-1 win at home in the first leg stood up. This may hurt United more as Robben was almost a United player, but he signed with Chelsea in 2004. Bayern is always a dangerous sportsbook darkhorse in this competition.
